Physical Capacity Evaluation

A phyisical capacity evaluation (PCE) is a 4 hour, one time asssessment used to determine a client's current functional abilities.  A PCE includes tests of an individuals strength, flexibility, endurance, manual dexterity and ability to perform in a work environment.  These tests also include various tests to determine if the client is giving good effort during the evaluation.  The PCE is useful for doctors trying to assess a patient's ability to return to work once a fixed and stable condition has been reached.  A PCE can be requested by doctors, vocational councilors or attorneys.
